For October, we decided that instead of focusing on trick or treating and candy we decided to turn our focus towards breast cancer awareness. We know that so many families and people struggle with this kind of cancer. It can be very scary and can cause fear especially towards the families and friends who have someone who goes through this. For this devotion, we turned our attention to Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” This is a great verse to reflect when you are struggling, especially with breast cancer. This verse is a reminder to stay strong and trust in the Lord. It is an encouragement from God to keep going and that He will never leave us by ourselves. He will fight with us if we believe that He will. We hope this devotion will help to spread awareness for breast cancer and show our love and care to the people who are fighting it.
