On Fridays during study hall, there will be a history club led by Mr. Corbett and Ashley Graves which will meet in Mr. Corbett’s room. Mr Corbett decided to create this club to give students an opportunity to do the stuff that they don’t get to do in just a regular history class, and to give the students more opportunities to connect with each other. For this club, they plan to give students more opportunities to investigate history, and get a more intentional in depth look on history. The club isn’t going to be focused on just one part of history- it will focus on whatever the people in the club are most interested in and some local history too. There are a few activities they plan to do which are grave rubbing, replicating artifacts, and maybe going off campus to historical sights or the weekends. There might be opportunities for volunteer hours, and recommendation letters. Make sure to check out this exciting new club!
