We sat down with Addy Graham and asked her a few questions about what it was like to be a rising entrepreneur, and taking the newly offered entrepreneur class at Wayne Christian. This article is transcribed from the interview.
First, we asked Miss Graham why she chose this class. She replied honestly by saying that she was in two art classes and needed one more credit. For her product required for this class, she is starting a jewelry business. She already has all of the materials that she needs from when she had just got into making jewelry when she was young. Addy said that her biggest role model for her is her mom, who also works at Wayne Christian. She describes her mom as being very driven and disciplined in every aspect of her life. Lastly, we asked Addy what one of her biggest takeaways were that she has learned from this class. She said that she has learned so much about expenses and pricing! She now understands the best ways to price her products and to be able to buy more materials, but also make money at the same time! Miss Graham has decided to makeĀ “WNC Strong” bracelets to help with the relief of Hurricane Helen. All of the profit made from these specific bracelets will be donated to Samaritan’s Purse or Freedom Baptists Church off of Country Day Road.
