The Eagles left the Grunts (fitting name) begging for mercy Friday night.
Not even 5 minutes into the game, the problems started for FCHS. The Eagles scored a touchdown…they might as well have just gone home right then. They could have spared FCHS’s dignity from the madness that was to come. But they didn’t. No rest for the weary.
The Varsity Football team united in a way not seen since Avengers: Endgame as Jeremiah Bouknight, Josh Black, Nate Peck, Gabe Willis, Brandon Benkovics, Jackson Miller, and Jeremiah Winders all pitched in putting points on the board. Except, instead of facing a universal threat in Thanos, they faced a football team in shambles.
Fun fact: Father Capodanno has scored zero–that’s right, ZERO–points this season across five games. That’s some consistency right there. But of all the beatings FCHS has taken this season, the worst came from WCS. Boom.
We could make this article book-length if we wanted to. But we only have 10,000 words a month.
