In the inaugural game of the Varsity Football season, Wayne Christian suffered a defeat from Harrels Christian Academy, losing 23-7.
The game was originally scheduled for Friday, August 30. However, due to severe weather, it was postponed to Monday, September 2. The Eagles were the first to secure some points in the second quarter, thanks to a rushing touchdown from Jeremiah Bouknight. However, they couldn’t continue this early momentum, eventually falling 23-7 to the Crusaders.
The Eagles hope to recover from this loss when they hit the road on Friday, September 6, facing Faith Christian.
