Homecoming 2025 was excellent. The students elected this year truly represent the values of our school and are great positive role models at Wayne Christian. We had the pleasure of interviewing some of the students from the homecoming court and got to hear how being elected made them feel.
When asked how they felt that their classmates voted for them to represent this year’s homecoming court, they said how special it made them feel, how much it meant to them and how thankful they were to be chosen for their grade.
From our first-year students representative, Harper Davis said: “It feels really special to me being my first year of high school and that my classmates wanted me as their first-year students representative. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and how glad I am that I got to experience it.” Charles Kimbrell mentioned how it made him feel like a leader and that it felt special to be chosen by his classmates.
Jazilyn Scott also expressed how much it meant to her to be elected, and it made her feel that being a friend to her student body and respecting others had paid off. Landrey Haas said; “I feel honored to be picked by her class, and I am thankful that I got to be a part of it.” Luke Windes mentioned how much it meant to him to be selected and how grateful he is for the opportunity.
We asked if they had any advice for others. They said to be kind to others and to stay on top of your school work and not procrastinate. They also mentioned how important it is to keep a positive mindset towards school and sports and to not let one mistake bring you down, and you should keep your head up and keep going even when things get tough.
