Talent isn’t all muscles and quick movement, but it can also be the eye of an artist, or the movement of the brush which they use to create works of art. We interviewed such artists about their skill and work.
When asked about if this was his first art class, as well as what form of art he likes best, Desmond Powell, a 9th grader, responded with this.
“This isn’t my first art class. I took one at my old school, St Mary’s. And my favorite art style would most likely be sketching. I like to draw faces.”
We then interviewed Joy Parker, a 10th grader. She told us about her favorite art work and what artwork she finds she is most skilled at.
“I really like doing watercolor, but I feel like I’m best at painting and I like it the most.”
The last art student we interviewed was Jamari Hill in 11th grade. When asked about his best and favorite art style, as well as what he would like to do in art if he stays next year, he answered with this.
“I like drawing, I think it comes natural to me. I’m not taking art next year, but if I did take it, I would like to get into painting.”
These statements from the artists of WCS really show just how diverse this field really is, but still encapsulates almost anyone in its beauty and creativity.
