We interviewed a series of staff and students about an upcoming community event, the Wayne County Agriculture Fair.
Mrs. Darden- Mrs Darden is most excited for the food, her favorite thing to get at the fair is the pork chop sandwich and funnel cakes. She likes the food more but she used to like the rides when she was younger. Her favorite memory she shared was spending time with her dad and brother and riding the rides with her dad when she was younger. She loves the animals and likes to look at the old farm equipment but her favorite overall part about the fair is the food.
Coach Smith- Coach Smith is most ready for the food for one, and watching his daughter Addy ride rides and being with her. He loves the food the most, anything deep fried, funnel cakes, and eats at a baptist church stand. His favorite memory is watching Addy go on her first roller coaster. She was like two or three when she first went on it. Some of his favorite things about the fair are the activities like the derby, the community competitions, the family time and getting to do different things with his family.
London- London is most ready for the alien invasion ride. She always has a lot of fun. She likes the rides more because she got food poisoning in her past fair times. Her favorite memory is when her and her friends went on the boat ride and just had a good time with her friends and brother. She loves the environment, she says “when you can just match each other’s energy and the pageants are always fun to watch and just being able to have a good time with friends its so much fun”.
Zane- Zane is most ready for the fair. He says he will eat all the food, especially the cotton candy. He likes the food more because he doesn’t trust the rides. His favorite memory is riding the ride that was “duck taped” with his mom. Some of his favorite things are the giant trampolines, the funnel cakes, and the rock n roll ride.
Kinsley- Kinsley is most ready for the food and being with her friends. She likes the food more than the rides. The street corn at the fair, or deep fried oreos are her favorite. Her favorite memory from the fair is winning the goldfish from the ring toss game. Some of her other favorite things are going with her friends and seeing all the animals.
As you see most people are excited for the food, and enjoying good time with friends and loved ones. The fair is a great place to go and have some fun and enjoy the day or night out.
