We started the school year well at the first Pep Rally of the season for the Varsity boys first home football game. To see how others thought it went we interviewed some of the Wayne Christian staff and students to help share how they thought the first pep rally went.
First we interviewed Ava Silver the student body president . She thought that the seniors were really into it during the pep rally and that the freshman could get more involved but overall she is just happy to see everyone there. The cheerleaders were her favorite part she thought they were a perfect example of how we can get involved and be hyped, she thought that they worked hard. She thinks the upperclassman’s energy was really high and that underclassmen could be more hype during the pep rally. She can’t wait for homecoming week because it is going to be really hyped.
Mrs. Alves is the varsity cheer coach and she thought it went great! She was very proud of the girls and to see their hard work. Her favorite part about the pep rally was right at the beginning when the music started and some of the girls came out doing their cart wheels and the crowd cheered. She is very excited for pep rallies in the future. She believes that they started the year off well so she is excited for what’s to come.
Lastly, we interviewed Coach Pugh about the first pep rally. He thought it went well and he was excited to see all the students together. He enjoyed talking to them about all the new things for this football season and all of the improvements the school has made. He was also impressed to see the student body come together.
