“I couldn’t be more proud of these boys and everything they’ve done.” The 2025 baseball season is slowly coming to an end, so we interviewed a few players along with the Varsity and JV coach, Micheal Hamm, to get their insight on the season so far. Coach Hamm speaks highly of the season both Wayne Christian baseball teams have had. He believes that during games and practices the teams work well in unison to build each other up. This year the varsity team has gone 8-7 along with the JV going 1-1.
Two of our senior players, Jackson Sawrey and Lawson Adams, agreed that while juggling school, getting ready for college, and preparing themselves for the future, baseball has been a “getaway” for them. JV players Gus Roberts and Dylan Byrd also shared a few memories from the season. Gus shared that his favorite memory from this season was getting a hit to help out his team. Dylan has been playing for around six to seven years and most enjoys pitching for the team. The unity of the team has improved their ability to work well together both on and off the field.
