It is now December, which means it’s time for Christmas. The important thing about Christmas is Christ. He was God’s Son sent to earth so He could save us from our sins. In Isaiah 7:14, the birth of Christ was prophesied, and for many years His coming was talked about. Many people were waiting for his arrival. The people had been wanting a Savior for years, and they had finally been told they were getting one.
Despite the good news, the people had to wait 400 years for Christ to come. Through these times, many people lost hope, they began to doubt that God would send a savior. God, however, had a plan, He had a reason for making the people wait, even if they didn’t know that. God was in control here, He knew what He was doing, and why He did it the way He did. God never forgot His promise, and many years later, He sent Christ.
This shows that God has a plan, so as Christians we need to put our trust in Him, and know that He will keep his promises. When people hope and pray for God to do something, He hears them. He does things according to His will, which means it may take a while for prayers to be answered. God is with us, and has a plan for everyone’s life, even if they don’t know it, or understand it. God knew what He was doing then, and knows what He’s doing now. Just like with the people waiting for Christ, we also have to wait for things as well, but in the end it will work out for God’s glory.
