Brandon Benkovics is a senior at Wayne Christian school. This year was his final year playing football for the Wayne Eagles.
Brandon has been playing football for four years. Brandon was asked what his favorite memory of his senior year was. He responded with, “my favorite memory this year was when we beat John Paul on their homecoming night.” We then asked Brandon what was your most impactful moment during football. “Whenever I got hurt in the semi-final game my teammates came and checked on me in the hospital.”
Brandon said that his biggest rival he had to play against was Parrott. Brandon told us my favorite team to beat was Parrott. “They have always been a good team and it felt like a big accomplishment to beat them.”
Brandon said that his biggest comeback win had to be faith. “We were down 20-6 by halftime and we came back and won 45-26.”
Brandon was sad to see his season come to an end, but he had a lot of fun. Brandon told us that his season was good, but it didn’t end the way he wanted it to.
The final question we had asked was if he could change anything about the season would he. Brandon said “ I would change how I got hurt in the last game and how that was how my season ended.”
