It’s November, and you know what that means. The leaves are changing colors, Mariah Carey is defrosting, and, most importantly, it’s playoff time™.
On Friday, November 1, the WCS Eagles ice-skated past Rocky Mount Academy Eagles, winning 46-14. It was Accipitridae warfare as the Eagles scratched and clawed against the Eagles. But in the end, the better Eagle won. Call it a really early Christmas present.
This W was spearheaded by Brandon Benkovics, who pummeled the defense like a blizzard in North Carolina, bagging 3 rushing touchdowns. Jeremiah Bouknight and Jeremiah Winders (a dangerous duo of Jeremiahs) contributed to that snowstorm, putting up touchdowns of their own.
On Friday, November 8, WCS will enter the next round of the playoffs. They will look to keep the snowball rolling as they prepare to face Cary Christian.
It’s way too early to be making Christmas puns.
